An Awesome Place to Kayak

Friday, December 11th, 2009

Relaxing at Medano Beach in Cabo San Lucas is quite an entertaining experience. It is a short walk from downtown and is a huge hub for watersports. The waters there are calm most of the time and the business of the area is entertaining in itself. Lots of different aquatic vehicles ride on the waters along the beach, mingling with others around them and jockeying for the best spots. There are water-skiers, Waverunners, and colorful parasailing rigs floating about. Away from the commotion there are graceful kayaks easing through the calm waters and basking in the sun toward Land’s End. Glass bottom boats carry site seers to the arch, which is the end of Baja California’s nearly 1,000-mile peninsula. If you look from Medano Beach sand across the Cabo San Lucas harbor, you occasionally will see skydivers land as the crowd cheers in delight. There is a limitless amount of pleasure and entertainment to experience at Cabo San Lucas.

One popular and peaceful activity is kayaking. You can rent a kayak at $10 to $15 per hour, and can paddle from Medano to Land’s End and Lover’s beach. However you will need to be wary of the current and stay safely away from the rocks. There is also the option for a two-hour guided tour for $25. If you’re not used to working out and doing physical activity you will probably be sore the next day. Kayaking requires more work than you would think, but the experience is well worth it.
